How do I know if you service my area?

Do I have to bring my vehicle to your shop?

You are not required to bring your vehicle to use for a replacement or repair.  We are happy to come to you and take care of your windshield or auto glass damage at your home or work.  We offer this mobile service free of charge throughout Metro Denver.

How soon can I get on the schedule?

Many times we can get you on the schedule same day, but worst case we'd be able to take care of your auto glass damage the day following your request, with the exception if the next day was Sunday.

Do I need to wait while you repair or replace my windshield?

You do not need to wait unless you want to bring your vehicle to our shop.  We want to make this as simple and stress free as possible, so we are happy to come to your home or office in greater Denver to take care of your windshield replacement or repair; allowing you to continue on with your daily activities without disrupting your schedule.

How long  does it take for a windshield replacement to be completed?

The average windshield replacement is about an hour, plus the time needed to complete the recalibration of the ADAS forward facing camera.  Most times we can complete the entire process on-site within an hour and 30 minutes.

If there is a camera or mirror is attached to my damaged windshield, will the technician re-attach it to the new one?

Yes, when we remove the camera and rear view mirror to complete the installation, our technician will reattach the mirror and attach the camera into the bracket attached to the new windshield once the install is complete.  The recalibration also ensure the camera has been installed correctly and all camera ADAS functions will operate as normal.

Do you also do windshield repair?

Yes - We can do all types of repairs.  Everything from star breaks, to bullseyes and even small cracks.  If the crack is more than the size of a dollar bill, the windshield will have to be replaced.

Will I still be able to see the chip after my windshield has been repaired?

Yes.  The primary purpose of a chip repair is to keep the damage from spreading to where a replacement would be required.  Depending on the type of damage, they typically improve by about 70% to 80% visually, but do not completely disappear.  The quicker you can get a windshield repaired after it breaks, the less you can see it once it's repaired.

Can you work if the weather is snowy or raining?

If it is snowing or raining, and you have some sort of vehicle cover like a garage, carport, etc., we most likely can still complete your install.  The calibration may not be able to completed if your vehicle requires a dynamic calibration, which uses the lines of the road to calibrate and requires a clear view out of the windshield.  If the temperatures are below freezing, we may need to reschedule to the following day to ensure the urethane adhesive drys and cures correctly.

How does the calibration process work and can it be done on site?

There are two different types of forward facing camera calibrations.  The first one is call "dynamic" and requires the vehicle to be driven, where the camera uses the lines on the road to fine tune and reprogram the computer to operate the lane departure and front collision systems.  This can't be done if the lines on the road are covered with snow, or if it is raining or snowing hard.  The second type of calibration is call "static" and requires room in front of the vehicle to set up targets at predefined distances the camera reads to ensure the ADAS features are operating within the manufacturers specifications.  Most of the time, the calibrations can be done on site.  If we have an issue completing the calibration on site due to weather, lighting conditions or lack of a level parking space, we can bring the car back to our shop to complete the calibration.

If there is any broken glass in my vehicle, do you vacuum it up?

If there is broken glass, whether from the windshield removal, or from a broken tempered glass side or back window, our technicians carry portable vacuums and can clean up that glass inside your car.  Also, if you have a broken door window, we will also clean out the inside of your door to the best of our ability.  Sometimes glass gets lodged in areas and crevices that can't be reached by the vacuum and may fall out as the vehicle is driven.

Do you replace glass for are the other windows in my car as well?

We replace all types of auto glass, from windshields to door windows, vent windows and heated tempered backglass.  There is no window on your vehicle that we can't assist you with.

Will my insurance cover the windshield repair or replacement?

Auto glass replacement is normally covered under your comprehensive vehicle coverage and is subject to your deductible.  Some insurance companies will have glass buy back or a reduced deductible if you have a glass riders on your policy.  We are happy to contact your insurance and help you determine what your insurance company will cover.  Many times insurance companies will not cover dealer glass, unless the vehicle is only a couple years old.

What forms of payment do you accept for the work performed?

We accept cash, check or any major credit card.  Our technicians can take your payment on site and we can invoice your insurance company for the balance if you have coverage.

Which insurance companies do you work with?

We work with ALL insurance companies, and will work directly with their third party administrators (Safelite Glass Network and Lynx Services) to ensure all billing is handled according to your insurance companies guidelines.  We are happy to reach out to your insurance and help you setup the claim, making it simple and hassle free.

Will I get a full estimate before you start and work?

Yes, we will provide a complete price estimate of all work to be performed and what you total out of pocket expense will be, whether it is being submitted to insurance or you are paying cash.  We are always here to help, so always reach out if you need any information.

What is the Safelite and Lynx Network?

The Safelite Glass Network and Lynx Services are referred to as Third Party Administrators, and they handle all the glass claims for a number of insurance companies.  The important thing to remember is if you call the 800 number on the back of your insurance card, specifically with Safelite, you will need to specify that you want Stateline Auto Glass to complete your windshield replacement.  If you do not make that very clear, they may send you to a Safelite location and you may not get your calibration completed on the same day.

Does your glass and your workmanship come with a warranty?

Yes, all our work comes with a lifetime warranty against leaks or defective workmanship within the State of Colorado.

Are your technicians certified?

Our technicians go through rigorous training and are certified by Sika and DOW Chemical for the proper installation of your windshield using these OEM quality adhesives to ensure a leak free and structurally sound installation.

What type of glass are you putting in my vehicle?

We install OEM quality glass from major manufacturers like Pittsburgh Glass Works, Pilkington and FYG.  If your vehicle is newer, and your insurance policy covers dealer glass, we can source that for you as well.
